Ticket holders for Wu-Tang Clan’s remaining shows in Melbourne and Sydney were told refunds would be available after several members missed the opening dates of the group’s Australian farewell run. The update came after fans raised concerns that the concerts were promoted as a chance to see the full lineup.
At the first shows in Brisbane and Melbourne, Method Man, Raekwon, Cappadonna, and Young Dirty Bastard were not on stage. An earlier social media update had indicated that Method Man would not make the trip, but the other absences were not publicly explained before the tour began.
Ticketek later told fans that a couple of members would be unable to join the remaining dates because of unforeseen circumstances. The company also said the shows would still go ahead, with the group continuing to perform material from across its catalog.
Wu-Tang Clan last toured Australia in 2023. This run had been framed as the group’s final visit, which helped raise expectations around the lineup and made the missing members a bigger issue for fans.
